Mr Rathian says he's never regretted his decision to leave the medical profession for the banking and financial industry. "I remember telling the committee during the interview that KTC could easily deliver a profit of 1 billion baht. For four years running, KTC has continuously hit record highs in net profit of 2.07 billion baht in 2015, 2.49 billion baht in 2016 and 3.3 billion baht last year. "At Tisco, I learned that I enjoy the challenge of learning new things," Mr Rathian says. There is always opportunity to be found amid crises, and Mr Rathian eventually found that buying and selling assets was a promising venture.
